It’s that time of year again—a time when we pause, reflect on the past twelve months, and look with anticipation toward the future. In keeping with our tradition, I write to you from a place of gratitude, humility, and unwavering faith. Last year, I penned our very first stakeholder letter, embracing our mission to keep you informed, inspired, and engaged in the story of Insight Folios. Now, as the pages of 2024 turn, we find ourselves at a unique crossroads—a “Year of Transition” marked by tremendous growth, unforeseen challenges, and the steadfast guidance of God’s providence.

One truth remains constant within the twists and turns of everyday: You, our stakeholders, are integral to our mission. As you read these words, I pray you’ll recognize how deeply we value your partnership. We believe wholeheartedly that the Lord has placed us on this path, both to serve you in stewardship and to fulfill His greater purpose for Insight Folios. As Scripture reminds us:

“Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of others.”
—Philippians 2:3-4

These verses have always been our foundation. They remind us to prioritize relationships over transactions and to seek the collective good in everything we do.

The Journey of 2024: Triumphs and Challenges

Mold, Health, and Relocation
It’s no secret that this year brought unexpected hurdles. In 2024, we discovered significant mold in our Charlotte office—a health hazard that impacted many of us, including my own well-being. Multiple hospital stays later, I’m grateful to report I’m fully recovered and back at full strength. Without hesitation, we vacated the premises and transitioned into a work-from-home model while building out our new office in Providence Park. The lesson? God’s provisions appear even in the hardest of moments, directing us to new beginnings.

Growing Our Footprint
Despite these challenges, 2024 also witnessed our expansion into three new states—Colorado, Montana, and Georgia—marking a significant step toward realizing our long-term vision. Insight Folios has always been about reaching more people with a heartfelt, personalized approach to financial stewardship; these new offices stand as beacons of that commitment.

Strengthening Client Bonds
This year, we embraced deeper client engagement—inviting a small handful of clients to our typically “financial advisor” only Fall Classic Study Group to hear their unfiltered feedback. The insights gleaned were invaluable. We listened, learned, and are channeling those lessons into shaping our offerings to serve you better. Furthermore, we supported numerous clients through difficult health battles like cancer. Our dividend-income strategy alleviated the financial worries often accompanying medical crises, allowing them to focus on healing rather than healthcare costs.

Technology, Innovation & The Future

Above all, we want to maintain the heartfelt connection we have with each and every client. We believe that taking care of people—truly caring—is what sets us apart. We see technology as an enabler, not a replacement, for the human touch. It’s not just about bottom lines and returns; it’s about forging relationships that transcend spreadsheets.

At Insight Folios, we believe it’s still Day 1. Every morning invites fresh opportunities, and 2024 was no exception.

Soft Launch of TallyFin
A major industry frustration has been the disparity between what clients experience in an advisor’s office and the confusing data they see in their statements. Our new software, TallyFin, bridges that gap. Though only a limited number of clients participated in the soft launch, early feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. We plan a full rollout of TallyFin to all advisors and clients by the second quarter of 2025. We’re excited for how it will simplify statements and strengthen your connection to your Simplicitree plan.

On the Horizon: Unify & Income Planner
Meanwhile, our team has been hard at work on Unify, a groundbreaking Client Relationship Manager (CRM) that will knit together all of our software tools, providing a single source of truth for client data. This integration is foundational to a new approach we’re calling Client OS—shifting from reactive client service to proactive client experiences. Alongside Unify, we’re developing Income Planner, a platform to give our portfolio managers granular insights for even better investment recommendations. While we are thoughtfully integrating AI into our technological vision to enhance service, strategy, and efficiency, we remain cautious to ensure that its use aligns with our values and safeguards your best interests. 

The Evolution of the 4E Framework
Our four pillars—Engage, Entertain, Educate, and Empower—continue to guide every client interaction. In 2024, we took a bold step by creating the role of Client Relationship Advisor, applying the 4E approach in a new, dedicated capacity. This approach is pivotal in shaping Client OS (operating system), ensuring each piece of technology and methodology upholds the 4E promise. By integrating the 4E framework across our evolving roles and systems, we ensure that every client experience remains authentic, impactful, and true to our foundational values.

Building a Culture of Service and Impact

New Hires and Culture Initiatives
Growth isn’t just about new offices or technology. It’s about people. We welcomed new developers and key personnel, who have been instrumental in software development, operations, compliance, and trading activities. Internally, we launched Insight OS and Advisor OS, two operational systems designed to foster a unified, vibrant culture across all our locations. More than management tools, they reflect our commitment to humility, integrity, and service.

1Hero Partnership
Our year wouldn’t be complete without celebrating our ministry efforts. In 2024, our continued collaboration with 1Hero brought tangible, life-changing support to seven different ministries, from Charlotte to Nepal. 1Hero is a non-profit ministry to bring sustainable support to missionaries and missions all around the world. Where there is need, we strive to be present—offering not just financial support but spiritual partnership. Our belief is that prosperity means very little if we’re not lifting others along the way.

Market Performance and Insight Folios’ Results

Despite ongoing economic uncertainties, 2024 turned out to be a banner year for the broader equity markets—with the S&P 500 rising nearly 30%. However, much of that growth was concentrated in a handful of large-cap “Magnificent Seven” companies, while the equally weighted index stood closer to 15%. This discrepancy suggests the economy isn’t accelerating as rapidly as headline figures might indicate.

At Insight Folios, our portfolios continued to shine, leveraging the dependability of dividend income and strategic allocations. Dividend increases contributed to both peace of mind and enduring portfolio growth. Where others see volatility, we see opportunity, guided by consistent principles rather than chasing trends.

Looking Ahead to 2025

As we stand on the cusp of a new year, we have some ambitious targets in our sights:

  1. Onboard 18 New Advisors
    Growth is a catalyst for innovation, and adding new advisors will expand our reach and let us serve more people with excellence.
  2. Roll Out TallyFin to All Clients and Advisors
    Set for the second quarter of 2025, this milestone unifies our stakeholder experience through more transparent, intuitive statements.
  3. Develop and Implement Client OS
    Building out Client OS will drive proactive client engagements and set a new standard in our industry for service, relationships, and technology integration.
  4. Continue Embracing AI
    We remain fully committed to harnessing AI’s capabilities in everything from software development to client consultation—always with a personal touch at the center.
  5. Deepen Our Culture and Ministry Reach
    With Insight OS, Advisor OS, and our partnership with 1Hero, we aim to enrich our internal teams while extending blessing and support to missions worldwide.

Taken together, these initiatives reflect our unwavering commitment to progress, ensuring that as we enter 2025, we are better equipped than ever to serve, inspire, and uplift all those who place their trust in Insight Folios.
