Rick Sparkman
Insurance Advisor
Rick specializes in helping folks financially prepare for retirement with the proper use of annuities and other insurance products. He can help clients all over the country find ways to generate more retirement income and see how to securely protect their money during these turbulent times.
Despite the current volatility in the market, there are still strategies that you can put in place right now to ensure that you do not run out of income and keep your money securely protected from future market downturns.
While most financial advisors are more than happy to provide you with investment tips and growth opportunities for your portfolio, few financial professionals know how to convert your savings into a long-term sustainable income (and protect your money) so that you can spend with confidence when you retire.
Currently living in Orchard Lake Village in Michigan,Rick has always been a dedicated family man. He started working at a very young age, first with his grandfather, a hands-on electrician who had started his own business. During high school, he worked 16-hour days in construction during the summers. Afterward, he worked in his family’s industrial supply corporation.
Then, he moved on to work with one of the largest road construction companies in the Midwest. Using his abilities, he worked his way up to oversee his own division and was in charge of millions of dollars of equipment, as well as responsible for the buying of millions of gallons of fuel and oil. Due to this responsibility, he was able to see how oil, OPEC, and the US dollar related and how the entire system worked. During that time, he was able to forecast two major drops of oil in the world.
One of his biggest inspirations to go into the insurance industry came from his grandfather. He purchased 4 rental properties to use as retirement income. His goal was never to fully retire, but instead to always be involved in a business. He also focused on helping those who were less fortunate. These actions inspired Rick to devise a plan to help others. This helped him decide to retire early and together with his son, Sean Sparkman, we decided to go into the insurance business with a clear goal to help the Baby Boomer generation with their retirement planning.
He is a proud father of four and a grandfather of two. Rick enjoys spending time together with his family, fishing on his boat, biking, snow skiing, and family time together.
